Yeah, I know, I'm terrible for never having time to post anymore, but I've got three things I need to share with you all today.

1 - The 100 words every high school graduate (and their parents) should know, according to Houghton Mifflin.

Here's a challenge to all the writers out there: Try to write a short story using all 100 words without sounding like a pompous ass. Just try.

2 - Pity the fool who writes his web site like Mr. T, but check out what your web site would look like if T were your web master. The T'inator will translate any site into T-speak.

Here's my home page, by Mr. T.

3 - The literary landscape of Los Angeles (is that an oxymoron?). From students at Mt. St. Mary's college, this site matches quotes from classic LA literature with photos of the actual sites.

For example, from Raymond Chandler's The Big Sleep, the
quotation, "The muzzle of the Luger looked like the mouth of the Second
Street tunnel, but I didn't move." is accompanied by an old photograph of
downtown's tile-lined Second Street tunnel under Bunker Hill.

And now I'm late for work again. Bye!

It's good to be back... Been having trouble with my internet connection, but I seem to be connected today...

Before I lose that connection, here's what we've all been waiting for: proof that racism makes you stupid. A great study that shows that even semi-intelligent racists get so nervous and flustered after dealing with African Americans that they can't think straight at all after an encounter.

In other news, even without my internet problems, I've not been writing a lot since moving in here. Even in bookstores, my life has changed. I breeze right past the fiction and literature sections and have discovered the whole new world of home improvement. I now leaf through book on building retaining walls as I used to leaf through short story collections.

Who knows where this could lead, or if it's just a temporary thing I'm going through, but I'm having fun with it, and that's all that really matters.
